How To Qualify To Become A Cosmetology Prosthetic Technician

By Dr. Edward Tony Lloneau\n\nProsthesis means to replace artificially a body part usually in regards to arms and legs. However, recipe ed this could also be a correct term for Hair Weaving, pilule but is not generally associated as being prosthetic because 1. It is not considered to be a medical procedure, 2. It is not considered to be as an important addition or correction as a body part. 3. It can be performed by a non professional. Although it is better for it to be done by a trained and skilled professional.\n\nPeople who lose there hair prematurely can and do suffer emotional trials, maybe not as severe as the loss of a limb, but none the less the sense of loss. So a PROSTHETIC solution could be the key to return self esteem and a feeling of being whole once more. For the professional Cosmetologist this could add a whole new dimension to their service menu and can be completed in less than 11/2 hours.\n\nIf you are so inclined to add the term COSMETOLOGY PROSTHETIC TECHNICIAN to your resume, then you must have the correct tools and knowledge to perform the service.\n\nThe tools consist of the basic equipment that most cosmetologist already have, but with a new use for them, coupled with an especially formulated bonding product designed for this purpose as well as for a variety of other hair addition services such as extensions without the need of special equipment, as well as conventional Bond Weaving that will stay on through three (3) or more shampoos, plus no hair breakage when deliberately removed. The product is appropriately called LIQUID GOLD due to its lights amber color in the bottle. However, it dries clear (no color) when applied. This is not a new concept, but has been quietly on the market for more than five (5) years. Most cosmetologist who discover this system keep it to them self’s in order to have an advantage over there competitors. Liquid Gold is not a rubber base product like all of the others and does not cling to the natural hair when attempting to remove it.\n\n\n\nWHAT IS THE PROSTHETIC CONCEPT?\nMost (if not all) hair weaving is basically a COSMETIC procedure in order to enhance a new and or different look. Or to hide or disguise damaged hair due to perms, relaxers, bleach and coloring or just plain “Bad Hair Days”. In these situations, there is most always enough natural hair to weave of bond to. But what about that person who suffers hair lost due to Pattern Baldness, Alopecia, Chemotherapy or just normal or abnormal Thinning Hair. This person has no recourse other than wigs or hair pieces that usually look like what they are. To the rescue comes a time tested and affective procedure that looks and feels like natural hair that is applied close to the scalp (not on the scalp) using what little natural hair still growing on the head. This method is called OFF WEFT INVISIBLE HAIR TO HAIR WEAVING. It looks and feels natural due in part to the fact there is no weft present. People who have very thinning hair and avail themselves to a hair weave look unnatural because they do not have enough natural hair to hide the weft. Now with the Liquid Gold system there is no weft to hide. Thus HAIR PROSTHESIS is born. People who have normal hair growth, but want a weave for what ever reason, can also enjoy the benefits of this procedure. Because there is no weft, smooth close to the head styles can be worn without the balk of the weft being detected. Also the weight of the added hair will be reduced putting less strain on the natural hair.\n\nAnother service that can be performed with Liquid Gold is BOND FUSION, for Extensions, braids or adding contrasting hair colors for that streaking affect without the use of bleaches, peroxides or perforated plastic caps, and it can be done in minutes instead of hours. This is because the Liquid Gold will bond even when completely dry on both surfaces to be bonded and dries clear, plus is faster, easier, safer and more realistic looking then the Glue Gun method. With the glue gun you must stay at least 1/8 of an inch from the scalp (this is the equivalent of about three (3) weeks of new growth). The glue stick used are mostly wax and will dry hard, this can be irritating to the scalp and could melt off if a curling iron got to close. Liquid Gold can be applied close to the scalp, dries soft, pliable, and invisible and will not melt off. In fact the heat source for this method is an ordinary curling iron.\n\nThere is NO HAIR BREAKAGE WHEN REMOVED because the Liquid Gold BOND DISSOLVER does just as its name implies, dissolves the bond without discomfort to the scalp or damage to the natural hair. Here is how and why it works…..Natural hair grows from a follicle in the scalp. Each follicle has a sebaceous gland attached that feeds natural oils (sebum) to the hair when stimulated by any disturbance that causes movement of the hair. Added bonded or fused hair does not have this advantage. When the Liquid Gold Bond Dissolver is applied, the natural hair (that is coated with the natural scalp oils) will release the bonding material with the aid of the dissolver causing it to cling to the hair or weft that is being removed. Thus No Breakage to the natural hair.\n\nWith all of the advantages and possibilities of Liquid Gold, the cost is surprisingly affordable; a 1oz. bottle (enough to do from 4-5 complete weaves) is only $5.25. The Dissolver is only is only $3.25. The Dissolver will also dissolve other bonding products so that hair breakage will be a thing of the past.\n\nAlso available is a BOND SEALER the sealer is applied with an ordinary tint applicator brush. Its purpose is to retard oil and moisture from the bonded area. It creates an invisible barrier against oil and moisture for an even longer lasting bond.\n\nPrior to bonding (with any bonding product) the hair should be shampooed, but NO conditioners should be applied such as cream rinses or Balsam, because they leave a thin oily film that can weaken the bonding. So Liquid Gold created an AFTER BONDING LEAVE IN CONDITIONER that will not only condition the hair, but also allows the natural and added hair to blend more naturally so that they appear to be of the same texture.\n\nFor more detailed information and instructions on how to perform the services out lined in the article call (310) 764-0081 between the hours of 9:30- 4:30(west Coast Time) we will send you a 20 page booklet of features and benefits plus over 30 helpful hints and ideas never before used in hair weaving.
